Members of our Rifle Squad performed the opening flag presentation ceremony for Partners of Wisconsin Hospital Association, October 1, 2024,  at the Holiday Inn, in Stevens Point, WI.

Plover VFW Car and Truck Show Fundraiser held September 15th. There were 62 entries with 9 separate trophy classes. A basket raffle and 50/50 raffles were also held.

Auxiliary members Peggy and Ann along with Post member Tim performed the POW MIA Recognition during a joint meeting at the VFW Plover Post on a Monday night meeting which was held on September 9th at 7 pm .

Team ONE MILE is on a mission to support the Wisconsin camp known as “Camp Hometown Heroes”. This summer camp brings in hundreds of children from all over the country that one have thing in common. They have all lost their hero, a parent or sibling who has bravely served our country. They road 700 miles across the state in 6 days and raised over $100,000 dollars.

Team ONE MILE stopped into Stevens Point Thursday and Friday, September 12th & 13th. We welcomed them September 13 for breakfast before they headed out for their next stop!

Sept 10, at our VFW Post, Barbara Sigmund of the Quilts of Valor organization presented a Quilt to family members who wrapped Marine Vietnam Veteran E-3 Edward Liebe with the quilt. It is awarded to a Service Member who has been touched by war. Among the words spoken, “today it is our honor to award you this Quilt of valor. As you are wrapped in the warmth of the quilt, we ask you to accept a hug. It comes not only from us but from all of our Quilt of Honor members.”
