2nd Annual Plover VFW Car and Truck Show
Plover VFW attracted a variety of classic vehicles and enthusiasts at the
Annual Plover VFW Car and Truck show on September 18th.
More than 60 vehicles were on display in the Post's north parking lot. The event was held in conjunction with the first Rifle Squad Breakfast of the season; burgers, brats and hot dogs were available for lunch..
Live music was provided in the afternoon for listening and dancing enjoyment by the Cow Tippers."

5 Feb 2022 - UWSP Hockey Military Appreciation Day
Post 10262's Rifle Squad and Honor Guard posted the colors for the UWSP vs. UW-Stout Military Appreciation Hockey Game on Saturday night (Feb. 5th). Veterans and their families received complimentary passes to attend the evening's game. UWSP soundly defeated Stout by a score of 3-0.

June 2022 - Plover VFW 10262 Awards Scholarships

21 May 22- VFW Day of Service Award
Plover VFW Post Commander Norb Strasser and Post Members Guy Jones, Larry Kinyon and Don Mugridge presented a $1000 check to Mike Thompson and Jim Campbell of the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. The donation was from the proceeds of the VFW/Auxiliary food tent at the O’so Brewery 5K Fun Run/Walk held in May as part of our VFW Day of Service.

Plover VFW Halloween Party
Winners of the Costume Contest: Best Couple – Leaf Man “Jed” with Pickle Lady Katrina Shankland; Best Male Costume – Pirate Ron Fait; Best Female Costume – Red Devil Lady “Joyce.”
Plover VFW and Auxiliary Event Committee hosted a Halloween Party and Costume Contest at the Post on Saturday evening, October 29th. Attendees were treated to a hot dog and pot luck luncheon. Music and karaoke for the event was provided by D.J. Diva.
VFW Trolley in the Stevens Point City Christmas Parade
Catholic Financial Services Dist. 11 Secretary/Treasurer Carie Ligman (2nd from left) and husband AJ (far right) presented Plover VFW Golf Committee Chairman Mike Zynda (2nd from right) and Post Commander Norb Strasser (left) a check for $1000 at the regular November Post meeting. Four members of Catholic Financial Services volunteered their services in the kitchen for the Golf Outing held in September. Many thanks for the generous donation to the Golf Committee and for the assistance with the event.
Many thanks to our new Post member Matthew Smith, wife Stephanie Jones, and Canine "Yummy" for offering their trolley to the VFW for the parade!
